Looking for a good book? We polled Newtown Literary staff and board members to discover what everyone was reading right now.
Justin Muschong is reading The Gag Man : Clyde Bruckman and the Birth of Film Comedy by Matthew Dessem. Bruckman collaborated with icons like Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, Laurel and Hardy and the Three Stooges.
Aida Zilelian-Silak and Nancy Agabian are both reading The 40 Days of Musa Dagh by Franz Werfel. The 1933 novel of the Armenian genocide.
Tim Fredrick is reading The Leavers by Lisa Ko, winner of the 2016 PEN/Bellwether prize for fiction.
Joe Okonkwo is reading Lila by Marilynne Robinson, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award, from the author of Gilead.
Heather Talty is reading Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff, Amazon's 2015 Best Book of the Year and finalist for the 2015 National Book Award.
Karen Slutsky is reading Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, a national bestseller about the Korean Immigrant experience in Japan.
Alex Radison is reading 3arabi Song by Zeina Hashem Beck, the 2016 Rattle Chapbook Prize Winner.
