New York as a Character

Newtown Literary Kicked off this year's season of free workshops with a writing class by Radha Vatsal, author of Murder Between the Lines and A Front Page Affair, at the Jackson Heights branch of the Queens Library.

Taking excerpts from Tom Wolfe's Bonfire of the Vanities as a starting point, Ms. Vatsal led the capacity class through the thought processes of using the city in their own works, not only as a setting, but as a character in and of itself.

Mark your calendars for the first Saturdays of the next few months as Newtown Literary presents more workshops in the 2019 series.
